One Last Thing!!

Wow! I am very excited I have completed the 23 Things! This has been the most effective and informative program I have learned about in a while. Some of my favorite learning exercises were Flickr,Animoto, Picasa Web Albums, and mashups. This program has affected my lifelong learning goals by giving me tools and information I can use in my future classroom to become and effective teacher. What I have learned through this program will guide me in the right direction of making learning fun for the children using technology. From here on out I will try to continue learning about the new Web 2.0 tools and using them effectively in the future!

Thing #23

The item posted below shows that The 23 things is based on someone's work. I don't really know how I would use Creative Commons in the future because I want to teach younger children and it is a hard topic for younger children to understand. But I think Creative Commons is a great thing at the middle and high school level.

Thing #22

I chose the Crazy Dave's Kids Show podcast from Podcastdirectory.com. This would be a cute podcast to show to young children during Hallowwen. I found that Podcast Drcetory was the easiest one to use. I think podcast are great and can be used in many ways within the classroom. Here is a link to the podacast I listened to!

Thing #21

I created a video compiled with pictures of the people who are most important to me in my life! I love Animoto! It was really simple to use and quick! I can see myself using this again in my classroom and for my own purposes!

Create your own video slideshow at animoto.com.

Thing #20

Here is a Video that I felt was worth adding to my blog. It relates to my standard which is Identify Characters, Plot, and Setting! I liked this exercise because I love YouTube. There are so many videos that could be useful in the classroom or for one's enjoyment.

Thing #19

Thing #18

Well, this was easy! Considering I already have a  Facebook, I am glad to know I am already using a Web. 2.0 tool! Here is a link to my Facebook profile... http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=1512708267. I think it is important for educators to know how social networking works because if they do have a Facebook or Myspace they have to be careful not to put anything on there for students, co-workers, or parents to see. I think that between Facebook and Myspace I like Facebook the most, it is more formal than Myspace. I cannot see myself using either one within the classroom because it is just to personal and I think that for younger children they should not use one at all.
